Job Description:
We are looking to hire Mechanics for our new Calvert, AL location. As a Mechanic I (Entry Level), you will ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines and troubleshooting malfunctions.
Key Responsibilities:
› Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions.
› Dismantle, move, assemble, install, weld, and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
› Dismantle equipment using hand tools; move machinery using hoists and dollies; assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools.
› Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring instruments.
› Remove defective parts by dismantling devices.
› Control downtime through effective routine preventive maintenance techniques.
› Set up and operate machine tools and fabrication machinery to make new parts.
› Travel to other locations may be required.
Required Qualifications:
› High School Diploma or Equivalent.
› Five + years of related experience.
› Valid Driver’s License.
› Crane/Forklift – In-house training provided to obtain certification.
› Proper use of tools such as Micrometers, Bore Gages, and Hydraulic Tools.
› Proper use of Safety Equipment.
